Boundaries are one of the first things I work with my clients to implement into their lives. In this day and age we are taught to keep going. We are conditioning to work many hours a week so we can earn a good living. We are taught to cook, clean and provide for our loved ones.
But where do YOU come into this?
You can’t give with an empty cup. You can’t show up as the best version of yourself if you don’t love yourself enough to create boundaries. I used to be a massive people pleaser and I’d say yes to everything and everyone because I was scared of rejection or missing out. Now I have no problem at all with saying no to something I don’t want to do or spending time with people that no longer serve me.
Because I love myself and I cherish my time and energy. The feeling of claiming back my power by putting healthy boundaries in place really raised my self esteem, self confidence and created a deeper connection with myself.
When I take care of myself, everybody else benefits and my self care now is non-negotiable.
